FOUNDED
The vineyard was established in 1995, but the 440-acre waterfront estate on which it stands with expanses of fields, hollows, rolling hills and scenic bluffs has been in the family for over half a century. In June 2009, the Macari family opened a second tasting room located on the Main Road in the town of Cutchogue adding an additional 20 acres of vines to their vineyard. The Macari???s always strived to be on the cutting edge of viticulture, employing principles of environmentally friendly farming from the very beginning. The Macari???s have done their best to be careful stewards of the land, transforming potato fields into a sprawling vineyard that???s home to cows, goats, horses and some of the best grapes on Long Island.
